Luxembourg ranks 9th in a new Quality of Life Study
The Boston Consulting Group has published, on behalf of the German business magazine Manager Magazin, a study on the quality of life in 150 countries around the world.
This study is based both on a wide range of indicators, including economic, political and social, related to health and education, as well as indicators related to the environment and infrastructure.
The world ranking is topped by many of the world's smaller countries and is led by Norway, followed by Switzerland and Sweden. Luxembourg is ranked 9th out of the 150 countries. Germany is in 8th place primarily thanks to its strong employment figures, particularly since 2006, but is pulled down on its high CO2 emissions.
